Signing In to Vinst

Everything you need to create a Vinst account, sign in, reset a forgotten password, and verify your email so you can save and print your cookbooks.

Top 5 questions people ask

I never got my password reset email — what do I do?

Check your spam or promotions folder first — that's where it lands most often. Still nothing after a few minutes? Just click "Forgot password?" again to request a fresh link. (See Forgot your password? below.)

I'm not receiving the verification email, even after checking spam.

Head to your Account page and click "Resend verification email" — it's common for the first one to get lost. (See Verifying your email below.)

Do I really need to verify my email address?

Not for most of Vinst — but yes, you'll need a verified email before you can print or order a physical cookbook. (See Verifying your email below.)

How do I change my password if I'm already signed in?

There's currently no separate "change password" screen — sign out and use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page, the same way you would if you'd actually forgotten it. (See Forgot your password? below.)

Can I sign in with Google or Apple instead of a password?

Yes — click "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" on the sign-in screen. It works for both new and returning accounts. (See Signing in below.)

The basics, at a glance

  1. Create your account — with an email and password, or one tap with Google/Apple
  2. Sign in the same way, any time you come back
  3. Forgot your password? Reset it by email — no account recovery questions needed
  4. Verify your email — required before you can print a cookbook

Creating your account

Head to my.vinst.me/login, or you'll be prompted automatically the moment you try to save your work.

You've got two options:

  • One tap with Google or Apple — click "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" and you're in.
  • Email and password — click "Continue with email", then the "Sign Up" tab. Enter your email, choose a password, and confirm it.

💡 Password rules: at least 8 characters, with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, and a number.

Either way, we'll send a verification email right after your account is created — more on that below.

The email sign-up form looks like this:

Signing in

Same place, same buttons — "Continue with Google," "Continue with Apple," or "Continue with email" and the "Sign In" tab.

📌 Being asked to sign in mid-task? If you try to save a cookbook, print, or use certain AI tools without being signed in, Vinst will pop up this same sign-in window right where you are — finish signing in and you'll land right back where you left off.

On mobile:

A sign-in prompt triggered mid-task appears as a pop-up window like this:

Forgot your password?

Click "Forgot password?" right below the password field on the sign-in tab, enter your email, and click "Send reset link."

You'll see a confirmation that a link is on its way:

Open the email and click the link — it takes you to a page where you can set a new password.

💡 This is also how you change your password even if you're not locked out — there's no separate "change password" option in your account settings, so this reset flow is the way to do it.

📌 Heads up: resetting your password signs you out everywhere, so you'll need to sign back in afterward with your new password.

Verifying your email

Right after you sign up, we send a verification email automatically. You don't have to act on it right away — but you will need to before you can print or order a physical cookbook.

To verify: open the email and click the link inside.

Email didn't arrive? Go to your Account page and click "Resend verification email." Check your spam or junk folder too — it's a common landing spot for this one.

📌 A resend cooldown of a couple of minutes applies between clicks, so if the button doesn't respond right away, that's why.

Once verified, your Account page will simply show a green "Verified" status — nothing else to do.

More questions

I clicked "Continue with Google" and nothing happened.

This usually means the pop-up window was blocked or closed by accident — check your browser's pop-up blocker, then try again. Still stuck? Email info@vinst.me.

I verified my email, but Vinst still says I haven't.

This can happen if you verify in one browser tab while another tab is still open with your old session. Refresh the page (or sign out and back in) and it should catch up.

I already have an account with Google — can I also sign in with a password?

Yes, but you'll need to set a password first from your account settings. (See Managing your sign-in methods in Managing Your Account.)

I typed the wrong email when signing up — can I fix it?

Yes — sign in, then head to your Account page to change it. (See Changing your email address in Managing Your Account.)
